5 reasons why I love Chicken Charlie's Epic Fried Chicken

Never have I tasted fried chicken THIS good.

I've been eating fried chicken ever since I was a kid. It was either the crispy fried chicken or the tasty chicken but not the crispy kind. Sauce was a must-have when eating the crispy but bland fried chicken.

This year, a new restaurant revolutionized the way a chicken should taste. It's like hitting those famous fried chicken stores around the metro in their heads using a bat saying, "This is how you do fried chicken". *bam!*

Thinking of where to have lunch or dinner? Think no more.

I first heard of Chicken Charlie from my friend Anton Diaz. When I saw his article, I immediately got curious because I was wondering how the hell can a fried chicken be that interesting. That thought remained until I visited their first ever branch in NS Amoranto (Now in Banawe). It was when I first sank my teeth into their crispy chicken skin and through their tasty chicken meat -- Thus explains the "Extra Ordinary Taste" description.

Here are 5 reasons why I love Chicken Charlie's epic fried chicken:

Twister in New Manila / Betty Go Belmonte Area [Photos and Video]

I thought it was over last night. I was stranded in Puregold Qi Central until closing time and the flood waters along Araneta avenue and E. Rodriguez hasn't subsided. Really tired and wanting to go home, I just braved the waters and crossed the riverlike road. It reached 3/4 of the tires but thank God, everything was okay.

This morning, I let my people go home early because I'm afraid we might get stranded again. It was a good call in my opinion as rains worsened around lunch time.

Reaching New Manila, I experienced such strong winds I never experienced before. I decided to video record it because the winds were really strong. Scary strong.

Here's the video:

Attention: Rainy Season Reminders

Rainy season has already started. Well, prematurely since May because of global warming. Wet roads and heavier traffic are expected by commuters and motorists. We're all familiar with the usual warnings and reminders we see and hear every time the rainy season starts, but I guess it wouldn't be bad if we will be reminded of the basic things that need to remembered during the rainy season. MMDA and the Government can only do so much so we must not rely on them.

 Reminders on a rainy season
1) Drop by the restroom before leaving
Unless you have a portable toilet in your car or a handy water bottle, you'll never know when you'd be stuck in the middle of traffic with no toilet in sight.

Experience Singapore within 9 hours

We were happy to achieve this Amazing Race type of experience. Ever since this vacation started in Malaysia, it has been fast paced already. We toured the major Singapore sites in only less than 9 hours. Majority of the time was spent on eating! LOL

It was supposedly a stop over but we turned it into a Singapore day tour. One of our companions in this trip hasn't been to Singapore and we took this chance to tour her around. Also, one of us was a Singaporean local and this made the creation of itinerary easier.
The night before the published schedule below, we arrived around 10pm and headed straight to our hotel before going to Clark Quay for our Chili Crab Dinner. Hands down best chili crab I've ever tasted!

Here's our schedule:
800am - Check out of The Club Boutique Hotel

The Club Boutique Hotel in Singapore

The Club Boutique Hotel in Singapore

For my previous trips to SG, we stayed at different hotels that were really hotels. It's my first time to stay in a Boutique hotel in Singapore and I can never be more contented with it. Being in Australia for more than a week, this was our first Asian destination right after Australia and I can say that this is the 2nd best hotel room for the entire trip.

Have You Tried Claiming Packages at the Post Office?

It all started when I got a registry notice from the Philippine Postal Corporation.

Last June 2, 2011,  I got a registry notice from Philippine Postal Corporation. It's the first time I got one and I have no idea what that thing is about. After reading some vague instructions at the back of the card, I suspected that it was a package. Thing is, I didn't order anything.

Can you understand the writing written under "Claim at Window"?
4 days after, I decided to claim my "package". Problem is, the registry notice card I got was very vague that it wasn't even indicated where to claim it nor where the post office was. There was no address nor a phone number to contact to. In short, I didn't even know if this was the real thing or if this was just a scam.

Total Lunar Eclipse 2011 | Photos, Infos and Facts

Total Lunar Eclipse 2011
I set my alarm to wake me up around 3:30 in the AM so I could personally see the Total Lunar Eclipse 2011 and how a red moon looks like. I was planning to go to the top floor of our place but upon looking out the window of our room, I already saw it.

Still groggy, I got my camera and set it up on a Tripod. I used a Nikon D90 with a 18-105 lens plus wireless remote to lessen the shake. Unfortunately, this is the best I could do haha! I used the wrong settings, I think. Time to learn more.

Enjoy the facts, information and photos I personally took below.
(Each photo below is unique and there are no duplicates. It was taken on June 16, 2011 around 3:35am ~ 4:00am Philippine Time)

Moshi Moshi Handset - Solution to be Radiation Free

I can safely say that this generation finds telecommunication as one of the most basic and essential needs to live. We are taking part in the history of communication and it has already become a basic necessity. I'm sure you're with me when I say that it's like not wearing your underwear when you accidentally leave your mobile phone at home -- something just feels not right.

TuneLink Auto - A Must Have for Car Audio music lovers!

I'm a car enthusiast. I also love music and movies. Okay, music not so much but movies, I really love! Sadly, my car can't even play MP3 cds nor does it have an iPod connector. What more a dvd player? So, here are my choices. Either buy one of those cheap audio transmitters that does the job (but quality-wise, not so good), buy a new stereo with iPod connector (AUX) or go hightech?

Siam Lotus, Red Rooster & Gelateria Artigianale | Food Trip in Cairns, Australia

There isn't much activities to do within 1 to 2 hours here in Cairns other than shopping. Most of the activities here takes around 3 hours minimum to do. With that said, we indulge in one of the best ways to digest one's culture -- food!

After our liveaboard experience on the Great Barrier Reef, we were dropped off in our hotel to freshen up. It's hard to decide where to eat if you want to try out all the restaurants you see! For our last dinner in Cairns, we decided to try out a fast food chain we've been seeing since we were still in Melbourne -- Red Rooster!

Here's what we had from dinner to midnight meals:

Great Barrier Reef Fishes - Name That Fish!

Here are some of the photos we took while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. Can you identify them?I will tag each photo as Fish 1, Fish 2, Fish 3 and so on... Leave a comment to identify the fishes and I'll name them properly and credit you for it. The first one to name the fish will be credited to the fish. You can name them all if you want to. Also, if you have similar photos, leave your link and I'll link back to you in return for helping me identify the fishes.
