No ransom policy followed

Brave but a must decision for ABS-CBN

After confirming reports yesterday june 11,2008, a day before Philippines Independence day, that Ces Drilon and her crew were kidnapped, they will be not giving in to their captors request. It would just make it worst for the entire country because proving it was a success, the Abu Sayyaf group would intensify their kidnapping operations more than the Philippine army , air force and navy would intensify theirs.

No exact details on how much the terrorists are asking for Ces Drilon and her crew's safe release, but words are, they were asking for 230,000 to 455,000 US Dollars. ABS-CBN still sticks to it's no ransom payment policy as of the moment.

Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) is a Muslim extremist group linked by intelligence agencies to the Al Queda Network. Drilon is the 3rd journalist being kidnapped by the ASG

They must really not give in. I hope that they will soon realize that what they do is not right. Since when is doing bad the right thing? Their greeds are sinking in, that's why.
