New Things I Learned About India: From Culture to History

Early this morning, a friend came over to give us some gifts 'pasalubong' from India. She was sent there for work and stayed in Bangalore. Wanting to go to India myself, I took the chance and asked her a question or two about India. It did confirm some misconceptions and busted a myth or two. Attention Grabbing Chicken Charlie Ads!

I was just in Greenhills Shopping Center recently and I saw these ads by Chicken Charlie. They sure are attention grabbing! Nice one!

Good news for south-siders! Chicken Charlie is opening a new branch in BF Homes Paranque, Presidents Ave. (List of Chicken Charlie Branches)

I don't think they wanted to bash other brands. What I remember from these are the spoofs shirts available in the malls. What do you think of the ads? Let us know your comments.

Upon checking, ads are made by Toilet Use Only. Saw the ads on their Toilet Use Only and Chicken Charlie's Facebook site, posted by TUO. Add them up: http://www.facebook.com/chickencharliephilippines

McDonald's Stick-Up Incident in Cairns, Australia

Dark, rainy night in Cairns

Well, that night wasn't as simple as everything-happened-as-planned thing. Rewinding back to the part where me, a guy friend and a girl friend, went out to buy food. Our mood that time was sleepy, tired and hungry. It was drizzling and the streets were dimly lit. Nobody, as in no other person was walking at that time of the night other than the three of us and we did that for the sake of our growling tummies. As we were looking for a place to buy food, we saw a bunch of people and still lit establishments three blocks away from our hotel. Our eyes twinkled as we saw McDonald's! I was like, "okay guys, no more choosing, this is it. No other choice."
