PLDT had just recently held an event in the 450 square meter Mini showroom was packed with SMEs from all over the Metro Manila. Pioymini.com (Mini Cooper Club Philippines) members were also present displaying their own Mini Coopers. The theme of that night was "Meet a Classic". It showcases PLDT SME Nation business solutions. There were also high-tech gadgets other than the classic and new models of Mini Coopers -- all this for the enjoyment of the SMEs in attendance.

“PLDT SME Nation offers solutions that are in sync with the modern lifestyles of SMEs today. For example, we are bundling fast Internet connectivity with Apple Macs of the PLDT MyDSL Biz. More than anything, this event is about taking time to relax and have a great time with our partner SMEs. In this gathering, we combine the thrills of high-speed, advanced technology and classic, high-performance automobiles,”- PLDT SME Nation Vice President and Head Kat Luna-Abelarde.

PLDT "Bossing Ako" Grand Launch - Igniting Pinoy Ingenuity for Business

PLDT SME Nation is going all out in serving the nation’s small-and-medium entrepreneurs (SME) through its massive campaign that aims to ignite Pinoy ingenuity for business with “Bossing Ako.” The “Bossing Ako’ campaign aims to encourage more Filipinos to strive to become their own boss by becoming entrepreneurs. It also seeks to inspire Filipino small-to-medium scale entrepreneurs to continue striving for success and courageously meet the challenges of growing their business.

“We are on a nationwide campaign to encourage a new generation of Filipino entrepreneurs. The Philippines needs more entrepreneurs in order to ensure our economic future. Today, about 90 percent of income in the Philippine economy is generated by SMEs. As we move forward into the 21st century, we’ll need more SMEs to provide more jobs, more income and more purchasing power,” says PLDT SME Nation Vice President and Head Kat Luna-Abelarde.
