Everyone has been contesting the results. not everyone actually but, those who lost. why dont they just accept defeat? they are just making Philippine politics more complicated. cant they see that our economy is already improving?
THE Genuine Opposition on Wednesday presented video clips of what it said were massive election cheating in the three towns in Lanao del Norte, including the tampering of ballot boxes and poll documents.
Rejoice Subejano, chief legal counsel for Lanao del Norte, said he himself witnessed three ballot boxes from the municipalities of Maigo, Bacolod and Kauswagan being tampered.
Subejano said the seals of envelopes containing statements of votes and certificates of canvass (COCs) inside the ballot boxes were still wet and appeared tampered. He said the seals might have been removed and then pasted again.
Subejano said that in one village in Maigo town, he was surrounded by a group of people after he tried to question the canvassing of ballots.
The lawyer urged the Commission on Elections to stop the canvassing in the three towns.
Maigo has as many as 50,000 registered voters, Bacolod has 14,000 while Kauswagan has 12,000 to 13,000.
