Medical industry shook once again

I wonder what steps the Philippine government will do to take action in the VSMMC canister scandal?

To be placed under criminal investigation are Dr. Phillips Leo D. Arias, surgeon-in-charge; Dr. Marlowe Parreno, consultant, Department of Surgery; Dr. Angelo Linawagan, assistant surgeon; Dr. Joseph Alfred de Leon, who was assigned in the documentation; Dr. Joanne Mae Merilles, resident anesthesiologist; Dr. Serapio Salazar, consultant, Department of Anesthesiology; and Dr. Max Joseph Montecillo of the Department of Surgery.

Good luck to the victim. May God guide you in your future endeavors. Do good and you will be blessed.

The Problem with Philippine Government Fire Fighters

Baclaran fire - Galleria Baclaran Mall which lasted almost more than a day.

***all the facts contained here are either heard from the news or from word-of-mouth.

I will go directly to my point. What caused that fire to reach more than 24 hours?

The Answer: problem with DILG and the local fire department.

The Issue: Government firefighters asking for money before doing their jobs. (unless, that is part of their job, to ask money before putting out the fire, then, I rest my case.)

The Solution: Teach them a lesson and burn their houses then let their fellow government fire fighters ask money from them before putting it out. (So they will know the feeling)

This has been a problem eons ago. This is also what happened on the Baclaran fire last week which lasted for more than 24 hours. A quick look on what happened...

- The fire at Baclaran was spreading fast.
- The Govt fire fighters did not increase the fire alarm level. (Stayed at 2nd alarm as reported, even if the fire alarm was supposed to be increased to call out nearby fire departments to help.)

Why? Many people are puzzled on why the government fire fighters didn't they want to raise the alarm. One government fire chief was interviewed by ABS-CBN news and said that, they didn't want to raise the alarm quickly.

Here is the scenario, one house started to burn and after a few minutes of burning, it bursts into flames and the whole building collapsed with the danger of affecting nearby establishments. Will they still not raise the alarm because are afraid of raising the alarm too fast? thats *BS*

As also reported and as always, the obvious reason they dont want to raise the alarm was to ask money.
This is what happens when the alarm raises: At a certain alarm level, volunteers in the vicinity are the ones only allowed to respond to the fire scene. then the higher the level, more area volunteers can now also respond.

So, why don't they want the volunteers to respond?

Answer: they cant ask for money anymore because someone else, the volunteers does what they are suppose to be doing and don't ask for money. doing so, the govt fire fighters will not get money. fire will be put out. they will be going home empty handed. or should i say, empty pocketed.

guys. this is real. this is whats happening here. imagine, the house is already burning and yet, they ask for money.

***by the way, if you dont offer/give them money, what they will say is, they are out of water. or worst, they will block the frontage of the burning vicinity so the volunteers cant put it out.

THIS IS REAL. We should let everybody know what is happening.
