Police isn't stopping anyone in Manila

Not even thieves! Monday morning while almost everyone is thinking about how they will go to office because of the transport strike, in Pedro Gil, Mtero Manila, two robbers in board a motorcycle riding in tandem, shot a beige Honda CR-V (ZJA 847), which killed the businessman driving the said SUV.

This prompted the slow but courageous police officers in a hot pursuit and a shoot out which killed one of them instantly and the other one, died later at an unknown hospital because of the gunshot would he sustained.

This is a friendly reminder to everyone who will be doing business in the Philippines. This is not to scare you away because honestly, Philippines is a good place to do business. You just need to be extra careful holding cold cash.

Do not withdraw huge amount of CASH in any banks as it is dangerous be it one hundred thousand or two, even more dangerous if millions. always withdraw and request for a managers cheque.

Thieves strike anew during Daylight

Manila, Philippines - Daylight isn't stopping anyone from doing crimes. Even robbers and thieves using a new strategy they formulated, can be executed during working hours.

This lady, has been robbed some 700,000 pesos 9:30am with patrol cars around. It happend near Ninoy Aquino international airport after the woman withdrawed the money from a branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands.

She was not hurt. The robbers shot the patrol car during the escape and boarded a motorcycle.

Philippine Crime: Robbers not interested in Banks anymore

There have been no bank robberies recorded in Metro Manila for the month of February. "It seems that bank robbers have shifted their operations from robbing banks to robbing clients who have just withdrawn large amount of money from banks. We are trying to stop this racket," Barias said in an interview.

The Metro police chief said the intelligence division of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) is still in the process of collating figures on bank robberies and other cases in Metro Manila for the first quarter of the year and compare them to recorded cases for the same period last year.

He said majority of the robberies involving bank clients occurred in Pasig, Mandaluyong and Makati.

Barias urged bank officials to conduct a thorough background check on their employees and security guards so they would not be suspected of being "tipsters" working for robbery gangs.
