Another Gov't Tactic - Help the poor (?)

There is shortage everywhere you go. All prices of basic commodities are also increasing. We believe that this is part of the governments campaign to redirect all attention to other issues rather than concentrating on the ZTE scandal. Yes, it is effective because they are the "basic" commodities. Who would want them to be gone?

It is getting worst in the Philippines. I estimated that before 2008 ends, tons of other shortages will arise. They targeted the weakness of Filipino people first and that is rice. Second is bread. What will they "short" next? water? air? Oil? Oil has been increasing and yesterdays headline in the newspaper was, it hit an all time high of 117 US dollars per barrel.

So, what now is the role of the government here? I know! Be a superhero! Save the Philippines. They are selling cheaper rice to the poor in lieu of the rice shortage. Now that the bread shortage is here, they will sell cheaper bread to the poor. They really got there some hard hitting strategies to "help" the poor.

Do you thing there is a connection between these "shortages" and the president? Small but terrible indeed.
