WTF!? Why the hell are people believing this hoax? It is ok to turn your phones off but if you believed it, good luck to you! You should verify something before believing text messages that are circulating.
The text message forwarded to me was exactly this, "Pls switch OFF all ur handphone 2NITE. According to Metro TV, an international news, there will be a BIG RADIATION WAVE circulating thru the handphone towers at 11PM 2nite which is very DANGEROUS to humans. Pls inform ur friends NOT 2 keep their phones with them. Please FORWARD.."
First of all, Metro TV is a TV station in Malaysia and it is not an international news or news channel. Second, what about those who wasn't able to receive the text message? Would they be in grave danger by now? What about those who turned off their phones, but some nearby phones wasn't turned off? Will they be near death too? Lastly, It has been circulating in text messaging or SMS since more than 5 days ago or more. Will we all be dead by now because we hadn't turned off our mobile phones on 11pm for the last 5 days?
Please be warned. Common Sense. Do not believe in everything you hear. Verify it yourself first.
IF THIS IS REALLY A BIG DANGEROUS THING. IT SHOULD BE ALL OVER THE NEWS RIGHT NOW OR FOR THE PAST 5 DAYS!

there were recent text messages as well on a supposed high magnitude earthquake. some people can be alarmist, and sadly many people are gullible. keep blogging!
that's true! i admit of being gullible but whenever i hear stories or forwarded msgs like these, i verify it through the net first, sum pipol just spread the msg becoz they are registered in unlimited texting even though they dont believe it. thanks for the info..Ü

the funny thing about this spam text is that even if its already June 2009 SMS on this “BIG RADIATION WAVE” is still circulating wah! works of people who are not in a sound mind hahaha
surprise, surprise! a year later, this text message is still in circulation. i've received the same message thrice already.

ohh...its jus a hoax?...but if its true wat wuld be the effects of it in ur health...im just worried coz my sister just hav a fever and starting to vomit last night... she's up last nyt, texting and using laptop the whole night... so i dont know if its true or not...im not used to believing these kind of scams, but wen my sis start to fil like dat... is dat just a coincidence?

yeah i understand that cellphones should be turned off...by the way i just wants to analyze this one guys...if it is true that there will be a big wave of radiation that would make us ill...my question is if we turned off cellphones does it mean there will be no radiation at all?(then probably we can say that the radiation from cell sites or transmitters of these waves selects the only the owner of such device?)which sounds funny the reality i guess is waves really travel around and do not point to just one single device...how come some people with the aid of a device be able to do the so called wire tapping when in fact they are not holding the owners phone? and they are only making use of a device to capture the signal or radio waves so to make this analysis short i guess the solution is to turn off this cellsites or wifi communication systems and not your cell phones...what do you think?!!lol
guys!I also received that txt message (April 16,2010) and I really really hate that kind of txt message after I learned that it is fake, :-) my mother woke me up in the middle of the night because she received a txt message so I read the txt message on her cellphone, and I doubt, so to make sure, I checked it in the news "both local and international" and I found nothing...
