Another delicious event organized by in partnership with
It was a fun afternoon at Chowking Eastwood branch yesterday, June 25,2008. Everybody attended was at their joyful best and they brought their appetites with them.
Filipino's really love rice and that is what keeps them stuffed at all times. Being a Filipino since birth, I know that my meal won't be complete without rice and in this time where there is a so-called (fake) rice shortage where they keep jacking up the price (I buy a sack of rice for around 1,500 only. Now it's 1900!), one can not stop worrying about it. Rice is Asian people's life and most could not afford other means and ways because rice is one of the cheapest in terms of stuff-ability.
Well, iba talaga ang kain kapag, Kanin! Here is the best news I received the whole afternoon I stayed there. My favorite Chowking Pork ChaoFan's (Fried rice) price rolled backed! From 45 pesos to the new price of 39 pesos only!
I personally heard their answer on what they said when someone asked about the difference of the 45peso ChaoFan and the new 39peso ChaoFan. They said that, they did not reduce any ingredients or amount of food per order. What they did is they produced it by volume, thus, them capable of reducing the price of ChaoFan in Chowking.
Even though gas prices have been skyrocketing and I am still expecting more to come, it was a good news from Chowking to hear that, some prices are still rolling back.
After playing games with Chowking gift certificate and Yehey! t-shirts as prizes, and tasting everything from Pork, Beef, Spicy and the famous YangChow ChaoFan, they even left us with some food to take home!
