President Arroyo happy that hunger has "sharply" gone down

Yes, you heard me right. She said that statement in her 2007 State of the nation address. To quote her exact words, she said "And I am happy to see that the latest survey in June
shows the hunger rate has sharply gone down nationwide."

One year after, July 2008, here is the headline - 3M families going hungry

On Monday July 28,2008, she will have her 2008 State of the Nation Address. I wonder what promises she would make for her to break. There is actually no sense in those SONA. It is just another campaign like speech that Presidents get as a privilege for their current position.

Well, I don't know what she did but hunger decreased last year before the SONA. In less than a year, it's a record breaking high. I've heard them say that it is about the increasing prices of oil in the world market.

I say, scrap the oil taxes and help the people recover rather than thinking of their pockets.
