Please, stop fooling us. As I always say, no one is good enough to be the president because those good people wants to keep their hands off this dirty government politics.
In her recent State of the Nation Address 2008 a few days back, she mentioned something about reducing text costs.
We are not stupid, we know what the telcos did and having to subscribe to it is not what people need. You got your applaud already, please give back to the citizens more than what you got.
The promo from Globe says that you should register to get 40 texts to other networks for 20 pesos. Yes, I know my math and that is equivalent to .50 centavos per text. Take note, this is only applicable to Prepaid subscribers.
For those who can afford postpaid lines, good for them but, can we scrap the double standard law? We have them all the time from implementing the "yellow bus lane" in EDSA and the red tape on the majority of the government agencies.
People drowning in red tape
For example, do you know that you have to BRIBE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS (Engineering, fire, etc) to inspect your office, store or whatsoever just so you would be at peace? You may tell me that as long as you are not doing anything wrong, you will be at peace. WRONG! What they will do is bug you to find something wrong even if there is really nothing wrong until you quit and just bribe. THIS IS REAL. Business owners specially those Filipino-Chinese businessmen knows this. They've been there, seen the nightmare and experienced it first-hand.
This is why we are at a growth rate of just 5% compared to our neighboring countries that has 6% to 8% growth rate.
Welcome to the Philippines!
*Fingers crossed* Hope the Dark Knight saves us. We are badly in need of a hero, whomever that is.
