Accidents won't stop rising if those irresponsible public utility vehicle drivers can't be disciplined.At least 15 people were hurt after a speeding passenger bus slammed into a concrete post along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Cubao, Quezon City, Tuesday night.
Injured passengers rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City said their bus -- Nicholas Albert bus -- driven by Arnold Mariano was speeding along EDSA when it suddenly slammed into a concrete post of the Metro Rail Transit and crashed into another bus marked Renan Trans.
Mariano told traffic policemen that the Renan Trans bus suddenly cut them, which caused the accident.
Diosdado Cadillas, driver of the Renan Trans bus, denied Mariano's claim.
Traffic investigators have yet to determine who between the two bus drivers were telling the truth.
Statements from the passengers of the two buses were still being sorted out by the investigators.
Meanwhile, Mariano told ABS-CBN News that their bus company will shoulder the hospital bills of their injured passengers.
The incident took place weeks after a private car driven by a prominent eye doctor went into flames after being hit by a racing bus along EDSA, near Camp Aguinaldo.
On November 1, at least five people, including a priest, were killed after another bus slammed into their Toyota Revo along the North Luzon Expressway in Pampanga.as of 11/05/2008 9:53 AM -ABS-CBN news
Not only bus drivers but also, jeepney drivers should be disciplined! If you do not know what I am talking about, then you better watch this video I saw...

can i kwento as well? last monday my sis passed by nlex from pampanga to manila - along the way, mei nakagitgitan na bus, nung pinauna na ng sister ko, ang tigas ng muka nung driver - he threw a rock at my sister's car sakto sa windshield. Nakaescape yung bus. Good thing though walang nangyaring masama sa sister ko (eh kasama pa nya yung 2 pamangkin ko!!!) grrr!! dati naiisip ko naaawa ako sa kanila coz they have to reach a certain amount para mei kitain sila, ngayon wala. BWISIT na ako. Instead na manghuli yung mga pulis at MMDA ng mga private vehicles, dapat they should start with the public vehicles! diba!? at gusto ko na rin bumili ng baseball bat....:P
Nung college ako, there've been at least two deaths that were jeepney-related --- both of them caused by irresponsible driving. They all started driving a lot more responsibly, well, at least until nawala yung issue.

OO, sandali lang yan sa Pinas. tignan mo yun issue sa bus accidents now. Dumating lang si Bolante sa news, wala na uli.
