Otterbox Defender for iPad Review (and where to buy in Manila)

iPad protected by an Otterbox Defender
I love iPad bags and cases! Ever since I got my hands on the iPad, I already bought numerous cases and bags for it. For them not to go to waste, I write a review about them so you'll know what's the right bag or case for you. Before, I've been using the original iPad case the longest. But ever since I got my hands on the Otterbox Defender for iPad, my iPad never came out of it anymore.

3-Layers of protection + a slide plate for charging/sync access
The Otterbox Defender for iPad incorporates three layers of hardcore protection plus some advanced features. It uses a high strength polycarbonate plastic shell that has been fully encased in thick silicone rubber. Once in, your iPad can live there for the rest of his life, as long as possible. All buttons and slots can be easily accessed through the bezels and silicone rubbers.

Slide on and slide off the slide plate, easily.
The outer shell can either protect the back or the front.
The outer shell can be snapped into either the back or the front. When on storage, snap it on the front to cover the screen completely as an added protection. When in use, snap the extra shell on the back

Looks tough, feels tougher.
This is how the inside looks without the iPad
The outer shell doubles as a stand
Klutz-proof your iPad now!
Also, the packaging is Apple-grade! Everything is thought out well. The package also comes with a screen protector plus a chamois and an installation card to help you install the screen protector.Upon opening, you'll see your defender nestled in a recycled cardboard.

Pros:
> Ultimate iPad protection w/ 3 layers of well-made materials to protect it
> Complete with screen protector and screen protector installation kit
> You have the option to use the extra outer shell or not (for added protection)
> Stylish and rugged

Cons:
> Adds weight to your iPad
> The rear portion catches lint easily
> Cost

Design wise, I like how the Otterbox Defender made it look like it's ready for some military roughing usage. If you're a female, you might have a harder time 'liking' the appearance of this but this can serve you well, especially if you have kids who use it from time to time. Although this costs around 1/5 of the iPads price, I still believe that it's worth the protection. It's like getting insurance but with this, you get a physical product to use.

The design of this case also won an award. Overall, this is a good investment and I would definitely recommend you to get one.

There are several colors available but I'm not sure what the available colors are locally.
