Asus U46E-BAL6 Laptop with Divoom omni and wow

It's been almost 5 months since I changed my laptop. My previous laptop, a Taiwan made laptop, Twinhead served me well for 5 years. Now, that laptop is in the store. I left it with my store supervisor so my inventory would be computerized already.

Last November, my shobe went to the US and I took the chance and asked her to buy a laptop since that Twinhead was only a core2duo with 1gb ram (not upgradeable, weird). I searched for the best laptop, in terms of price and specs. After a few days, I found one in Best Buy.

The laptop I got is an Asus U46E-BAL6. I bought it for $850 USD. Converting it to peso, it would be roughly around 38,000 pesos. Not that cheap thinking that most decent laptops (not for gaming) now are priced around 25,000-30,000 range. Check out the features (From Best Buy website):

It's a steal, right!? Just last week, I went around Greenhills and saw that most core i5 laptops are priced around 35,000-38,000 pesos! The Asus I got also comes with Windows Home Premium and a 2-year extended warranty care of my shobe :) (Early birthday gift!)

There's one downside though that matters to me. The speakers of this laptop is so soooo bad. In Filipino, it's what they call "Tunog lata". It's hard to hear even at max volume and the quality is mono! Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. I can even play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with it!

Just in time, our friends from Divoom sent us some products to try out! We tried out two awesome Divoom speakers. First, the Divoom iTour-omni.

Honestly, this is better than my other favorite Divoom, the Divoom iTour-70. Although I like the looks of the iTour-70 better, the sound produced by the iTour-omni is much clearer and louder. With this design, you can hang it wherever you want. Very useful since this is a portable product. Battery lasts long! I used it for several days (not continuous) and I didn't even charge it. You can use your TransFlash, micro-SD and your USB flash drive with the iTour-omni.

iTour-omni comes in red, black, blue and silver. It retails at Php 1,850.00
