Ever seen a Jaguar drift? Jaguar Drift Fest / Monster Energy

Never ever try drifting without proper training. Believe me. Did that before and won't do it again. I want to learn though. On a different note, I've always been telling my wife that if I was in the US, i'd apply and be part of their highway patrol group. :)

Anyway, here's a Youtube video of a brand-spanking-new Jaguar XKR drifting here in the Philippines. Wow. Just wow.



Want to know the price of one in the US? $97,500! That's more than 4 million pesos and that is still without taxes! Usually, imported cars double their price when entering Philippine soil. Just last year, a new Jaguar showroom opened in Taguig. The Jaguar | Land Rover | Range Rover Lifestyle and Activity Centre is one of the largest showrooms in the Asia Pacifc region.

Well, Jaguar Philippines also brought in the latest and most powerful Jaguar so far here in the Philippines -- The Jaguar XKR-S. According to Topgear Philippines, the Jaguar XKR-S is

a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that has an output of 542hp and 680Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from zero to 100kph in 4.2 seconds. Putting the power down to the XKR-S's rear wheels is a six-speed automatic transmission.

Available in coupe or convertible, it is now available locally. No price was mentioned. That's the scary part.

Awesome, right? I really really want to learn how to drift hehe. I also attended the Monster launch party at Opus. It was at the same event where the Jaguar drift fest awarding ceremony was held.
