Dolcelatte: Casual Dining at Its Finest

After doing our duties for our country and doing some household chores, husband and I, together with my sister decided to eat out for the evening. Since we didn't want to go far (as it was election day), we decided to check-out coffee-shops near our area and we landed at Dolcelatte.

A gourmet coffee shop located at the busy Quezon Avenue, you wouldn't realize you're in the busy area of Quezon City once you get inside. Cozy interiors, warm ambiance and friendly staff welcome you upon entrance. There were 3 other tables that were occupied when we came in but we were all seated apart from each other - probably to maintain the restaurant's serence ambiance.

We were given their menu after we were seated and I must say they have one of the nicest menus that looked more like a photo-book to me. It took a while for us to decide what to eat and I ordered Vegetarian's Favorite (sandwich) while husband and sister ordered their own sets of burgers. In addition, we also tried their Spinach and Artichoke Fondue for starter as both my companions were cheese-lovers.

It took them more-or-less 10 minutes before they served our appetizer. More than the presentation, the taste of their fondue was one-of-a-kind. Honestly, I totally forgot the artichoke part because the taste of cheese was dominating the dish and only spinach was visible. What's good is that they had a slice of lemon provided to mix with the dip so you wouldn't get fed up. It might look small for 205 pesos but this dish is good for 2-3 persons.

I was surprised to see the generous serving of food when our orders arrived - their sandwiches and burgers came with sidings of fries and coleslaw. For the price of 275 pesos, you get to enjoy grilled zucchini, mushroom, tamatoes and pesto spread on foccacia bread - this dish is perfect for those health conscious people who always watch their calorie intake.

Husband's burger was also good. For 325 pesos, he was able to enjoy quality beef that's juicy and tasty. It might seem an ordinary cheeseburger to some, but he says he will definitely come back for another serving of this!

Too bad the store closed early (around 8pm) because it was election day. Looking forward to going back to try their breakfast sets, entrees and do a full review of this place!
