3 of PGMA's Scandal Revealed

GMA's SONA this 2009 last July 27 was full of @$-kissers. We clearly know that PGMA is a fail (not in all aspects) in general. This is the first SONA I heard that the period in the sentence is converted to applauses.

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/4822/pgma2009sona.jpg
How PGMA's SONA sounded like
After every sentence she said, they were clapping! It went like... "In the last four years tourism almost doubled. It is now a $5 billion industry…" *clap*clap*clap*clap* Then another statement... *clap*clap*clap*clap* and another... *clap*clap*clap*clap* yet another... *clap*clap*clap*clap*

Hey! All you've said wasn't your work! Don't take all the credit! You could have at least given them credit for letting you say something good during your term! FYI, Sec. Ace Durano did and is still doing great handling tourism in the Philippines! He made the Philippines a truly Awesome place to go via his campaigns!! Kudos to you Sir Ace!

Gas Price Increase after SONA
Immediately after PGMA's SONA, gas prices increased by 2 pesos! Pinaglololoko tayo eh! After telling half truths and lies in her SONA, there you go.. Pahirap nanaman -- 2 pesos gas price increase! Thank you Arroyo for being sensitive! Pinalagpas mo naman sana ng one week man lang!

National Artist Scandal
When PGMA announced 2009's choice of National Artists, 2 of the valid and eligible nominees were dropped from the list. Meanwhile, Carlo J Caparas and Jose Pitoy Moreno was added.

Is Malacañang playing God again? For the benefit of the others who had no idea, Malacañang bypassed rules of the selection process for National Artists! Talk about taking advantage of your powers!

Here is the petition against Carlo J Caparass to be named as National Artist for Visual Arts and Film.

We know that Carlo J Caparas did not (maybe) ask for it. The main issue here is:
1. He was "assigned" and not voted by the President of the Philippines thus, not going through the process
2. He did not decline

If he understood how other national artists were selected, he should have retracted the title. No! Ang yabang pa ng mga sagot niya! To tell you the truth, I haven't watched any of his shows. I just knew him when this scandal started. I guess he should be thankful enough for that because he was made known to more people after the scandal. and you know what? if you have just rejected that, maybe, more people will appreciate and patronize what your doing rather than taking the easy road there.

You are a major fail and hope your conscience is clear after accepting the title assignment rather than the rigorous voting process.

Le Cirque Restaurant, NY

$20000 US Dollar Dinner by Arroyo
Looks like the Philippines is loaded after all our trillions and gazillions of loans we have! Imagine, a dinner at New York's posh Le Cirque restaurant worth nearly 1 million pesos!

If you think being a President of the Philippines won't make you rich, think again! It will exponentially increase your value! Check out the graph below from gmanews.tv:

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/5791/arroyoswealth.jpg

Wow! Being a Philippine President puts you in a God-like position (Note: Benefits won't follow afterlife) with tons of fringe benefits! Fellow tax-payers, this is where our taxes go. Funding her luxurious entourage with free extravagant dinners!

I eat out a lot but never even in my wild dreams will I spend that amount for one dinner! If she really has the heart to serve, she would have thought first that 1 million pesos can put how many children through college and help further improve the Philippines after they graduate.

If that congressman(another savior of Arroyo) really treated her(which I doubt), she could have suggested the same. Either way, she is also a Major Fail!

Carlo J Caparas and PGMA has several thing in common after all!
1. They are both fails!
2. They were both NOT VOTED
3. They want the easy way in!

On a brighter side
Come 2010, she will hopefully step down from her throne. A few more months.. a few more.. let us all be optimistic.

a little humor that's spreading around the net. This was really published in a well-known Philippine newspaper though. :)

...while this was broadcasted LIVE during Cory's transfer from La Salle Greenhills to Manila Cathedral.

So, to everyone, please VOTE WISELY this election. Don't mind political ads (well, most of us don't anyway) and their promises. Check their background. Best of all, start the change from within you and contribute in your own little way on how you can make the Philippines a better place to live in!

Erap for President; Aling Dionisia for showbiz!

SERIOUSLY, What is wrong with our world!?

Her popularity is, being the mom of a famous international sports boxing champion. We of course, respect what she wants because it's her life. My point is, it just proves the old adage "Money can move mountains".

http://zerozeros.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/edsa_2.jpg
Going back to Joseph "ERAP" Estrada, I don't think it's a wise move to vote an ousted ex-president. Although he was ousted illegally, the court made it legal because it already happened (of course, with someone powerful at the back, who would not follow).

Quoting the study, the deposed leader maintained that the constitutional ban on the reelection of chief executives applied to “sitting presidents” and not to a former president like him who wasn’t even able to finish his term.

But according to the Philippine constitutional law, section 4 states that:

A person who has held the office of president is absolutely disqualified for ANY reelection, whether immediately after his term or after an interval of one or more terms. He cannot run even for a single reelection.
-Source
So, that law clearly states that Erap is disqualified to run. He fits in the 2 clauses specified by the constitutional law. One, he has held office. Two, He is disqualified from ANY reelection. Besides, he was ousted before. Why would you vote for him again? In another point of view, those people who ousted him elected a president that they also want to oust!
http://www.hinduonnet.com/fline/fl2215/images/20050729001206202.jpg
Why not give other aspiring presidentiables a chance to bring this country up? I know that someone can! We must not give in to promises that we know, never came true anyways. We must vote for someone whom we think is really deserving!

The ban on reelection will also put an end or at least hamper the establishment of politiclal dynasties.
There you go. In the end, it will still be you who will decide whom to vote.
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9733/dionisia.jpg
One more thing, I really hate aling dionisia's Dior shades! She wears it all the time!!! If she is being interviewed, she will slowly remove it before the interview ends! Yun lang :)

Showbiz ba? Mag-basa ka nalang ng SHOWBIZ HERE. Baka pag-tawanan ka lang pag nag-artista ka aling dionisia. Just enjoy what you have. Besides, hindi na mauubos ni Manny Pacquiao ang pera niya. Just travel around the world if I were you.

Who won the 348 million lotto 6/49 jackpot

I don't know if you've been receiving SMS messages that says:

Lotto Jackpot P348M has two winners, one from Mendiola beside Pasig River and another from FG Building in Makati City.

Of course, this isn't true (I am being positive here)! One of the said lotto winner lives in Caloocan and got her ticket somewhere in Malibay Pasay while the other winner, got his ticket somewhere in Pasg -- I mean, Pasig.

Getting the 6 correct numbers is nearly impossible. How come there are two winners? Why do people know that when the jackpot is this huge, there would be one or more winners? That is where I smell something fishy.

It's the 23rd People Power Anniversary tomorrow, Feb 25, 2009. What are the notable changes ever since that event occurred?

- Philippine sunk even lower after the Marcos regime.
- 1 president ousted because of plunder.
- 1st first gentleman to be involved in almost everything scandalous.
- Being banned by a worldwide institution and treating it like nothing happened.
- Several Coup De Tats
- Several incidents of police rubouts that end up not being solved

Now,

- 39,000 lose jobs
- a new rubout case yet to be unsolved
- Philippines as one of the most number of drug users in southeast asia

Honestly, I admire Marcos more than any other presidents the Philippines had.

A born leader, IMO.

What I like about President GMA

No one is perfect. No one can ever bring back the glorious past of the Philippines the way Marcos did. 1-2 Pesos = 1 US dollar? It's pretty unbelievable if you ask me. That was waay back. Not anymore.

Looking at what's happening in Mindanao right now, I like GMA's style of managing them. I am not a war freak.
No Philippines peace talks until civilians are safe: Arroyo
I like that statement.
Hundreds of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) fighters pillaged Christian villages across Mindanao last month, leaving scores of civilians dead and causing hundreds of thousands to flee their homes.
This is the reason their organization shouldn't exist anymore. They cannot control themselves and they are starting to be terrorists. Who in the world said that they have the right to kill another human being?

Stupid law on their part if I may say so.

If the government won't eradicate the terrorists soon, civilian casualties will rise.

Stop fooling us, please.

Please, stop fooling us. As I always say, no one is good enough to be the president because those good people wants to keep their hands off this dirty government politics.

In her recent State of the Nation Address 2008 a few days back, she mentioned something about reducing text costs.

We are not stupid, we know what the telcos did and having to subscribe to it is not what people need. You got your applaud already, please give back to the citizens more than what you got.

The promo from Globe says that you should register to get 40 texts to other networks for 20 pesos. Yes, I know my math and that is equivalent to .50 centavos per text. Take note, this is only applicable to Prepaid subscribers.

For those who can afford postpaid lines, good for them but, can we scrap the double standard law? We have them all the time from implementing the "yellow bus lane" in EDSA and the red tape on the majority of the government agencies.

http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2007/07/04/cmHAND_ARTICLE_wideweb__430x392,0.jpg
People drowning in red tape

For example, do you know that you have to BRIBE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS (Engineering, fire, etc) to inspect your office, store or whatsoever just so you would be at peace? You may tell me that as long as you are not doing anything wrong, you will be at peace. WRONG! What they will do is bug you to find something wrong even if there is really nothing wrong until you quit and just bribe. THIS IS REAL. Business owners specially those Filipino-Chinese businessmen knows this. They've been there, seen the nightmare and experienced it first-hand.

This is why we are at a growth rate of just 5% compared to our neighboring countries that has 6% to 8% growth rate.

Welcome to the Philippines!

*Fingers crossed* Hope the Dark Knight saves us. We are badly in need of a hero, whomever that is.
