Early this morning, a friend came over to give us some gifts 'pasalubong' from India. She was sent there for work and stayed in Bangalore. Wanting to go to India myself, I took the chance and asked her a question or two about India. It did confirm some misconceptions and busted a myth or two. From our short talk, I have concluded that India is a country that is rich in culture.

After having breakfast at the hotel, our tour van picked us up and off we go on a 2-hour journey up to see Mount Kinabalu (from afar). According to our tour guide, "Kina" means witch and "Balu" means mountain. Before, Mount Kinabalu was called Mount Api-Api. It was believed that the souls of the dead go up that mountain and thus, respect must be exercised when climbing Mount Kinabalu. Same as climbing other mountains.

Attention Grabbing Chicken Charlie Ads!

I was just in Greenhills Shopping Center recently and I saw these ads by Chicken Charlie. They sure are attention grabbing! Nice one!

Good news for south-siders! Chicken Charlie is opening a new branch in BF Homes Paranque, Presidents Ave. (List of Chicken Charlie Branches)
