This morning, I found out that there was a new bus accident in Manila, Philippines, specifically near the North Cemetery / Chinese General Hospital area.
At least seven passengers were injured after the minibus they were riding turned on its side at the boundary of Manila and Quezon City early Monday.
Radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported that the Sta. Cruz-Malinta minibus with plate number TVF-109 was traversing A. Bonifacio Road near the Manila North Cemetery when the accident occurred.
I noticed something in the "related articles" of the GMA news website. The title says, Joanna Jesh buses allowed back on metro's road. It was dated today, November 10,2008. I double checked it and understood clearly that the said bus company would be allowed to be back on Metro Manila roads after a 3 week suspension, which is just today, November 10,2008.
You see, those bus companies are fooling LTFRB / LTO and they still do not know it.
I saw a couple (more than 4) Joanna Jesh buses last Saturday and Sunday on EDSA alone. I don't know if they have other routes but what people can do is, they can boycott this accident killer buses because if the Philippine government can't discipline them, it's up to the people to discipline them.
...and yet, another killer bus, strikes anew! When will they learn? They would never learn, in my opinion. They just do not care about their passengers and other motorists lives.
At least 15 people were hurt after a speeding passenger bus slammed into a concrete post along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Cubao, Quezon City, Tuesday night.
Injured passengers rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City said their bus -- Nicholas Albert bus -- driven by Arnold Mariano was speeding along EDSA when it suddenly slammed into a concrete post of the Metro Rail Transit and crashed into another bus marked Renan Trans.
Mariano told traffic policemen that the Renan Trans bus suddenly cut them, which caused the accident.
Diosdado Cadillas, driver of the Renan Trans bus, denied Mariano's claim.
Traffic investigators have yet to determine who between the two bus drivers were telling the truth.
Statements from the passengers of the two buses were still being sorted out by the investigators.
Meanwhile, Mariano told ABS-CBN News that their bus company will shoulder the hospital bills of their injured passengers.
The incident took place weeks after a private car driven by a prominent eye doctor went into flames after being hit by a racing bus along EDSA, near Camp Aguinaldo.
On November 1, at least five people, including a priest, were killed after another bus slammed into their Toyota Revo along the North Luzon Expressway in Pampanga.

Someone make a move and pass a bill or whatever! Accidents won't stop rising if those irresponsible public utility vehicle drivers can't be disciplined.

A city hall legal officer is in a hot seat after allegedly gunning down two people during a traffic spat in Pasig City Tuesday afternoon.
Pasig Mayor Robert Eusebio said lawyer Manito Hernandez would be dismissed from service even as two counts of homicide have been filed against him before the City Prosecutors Office.
The incident stemmed from a traffic altercation around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay San Antonio near Gen. Roxas Street corner Shaw Boulevard when Hernandez who was on board a gray Toyota Corolla went ahead of Canizares, who was in a silver gray Nissan Cefiro (XSA 205) with Palmero at the village entrance.
