Wikipedia is currently one of the largest, updated, user-contributed knowledge database in the world. Having said that, there are times that we need do a search for something while we are on-the-go. Knowledge is power, right? Without Internet, your only option is to bring an encyclopedia with you wherever you go or maybe call your friend that you call "walking encyclopedia".

Just this September 2014, Smart has partnered up with Wikipedia Zero. This is a worldwide initiative by Wikipedia and they have partnered up with Smart to give 70 million Filipinos free access to knowledge. This collaboration will give Smart, Talk ‘N Text, and Sun Cellular’s 68.9 million customers unlimited access to Wikipedia,
free of data charges from their mobile device starting September 5, 2014 until February 3, 2015. Access will be via Wikipedia apps available for iOS and Android devices. An alternative would be ANY other Wikimedia sites on their cellphone, can do so without incurring data charges by visiting m.wikipedia.org OR zero.wikipedia.org.
The best part?
Even subscribers without load can access free Wikipedia!
