This is the first time I wrote about OPPO but this isn't the first time I heard of them. Last quarter of 2014, they had this HUGE launch in Singapore, held in Marina Bay Sands. They are now one of the known China-made (but considered branded) phones in the Philippines. OPPO is also present in majority of the Asian countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and more.
Just a little trivia, if you've noticed, the OPPO brand utilizes full-capital letters in all their materials. That is the way their brands wants it to be.
I only tried the phone for a few minutes during the event. Here are my comments:
> The plastic cover, although plastic, doesn't feel very cheap
> It was responsive enough but of course, it was newly opened and stock
> Camera was acceptable
> Feels good holding it and can be used with one hand
> The chrome band surrounding the middle part of the phone makes the phone feel a bit premium
> 1GB RAM is enough for most apps so this phone is recommended for non-gamers
> 4GB ROM is also enough for most people but not enough if you want to store music and movies
> 2,000 mAh would last for casual call/text users for a day but definitely not last a day for those using data.
I still have to try it though but those are just my initial thoughts after having held the phone for just around 5 minutes. Overall, it's an acceptable phone but a bit on the expensive side compared to other branded China phones. I suggest you check out the official site to see more information about it: http://www.oppo.com/ph/products/joy3. The OPPO Joy 3 is already available. Visit one of their dealers nationwide: http://www.oppo.com/ph/shops
