Following the call for leaner but effective committee system, Defensor said his panel would trim the members of the rules panel from the 50 during the 13th Congress to only 25.

The plenary also approved the omnibus confirmation of the following members of the majority coalition as chairmen of a partial list of standing committees, namely:
