Basco Batanes, Philippines - Fundacion Pacita and Tour Pictures Day 1

I won a roundtrip ticket to Batanes last year from a blog writing contest.  I went with my siblings and my girlfriend with her sister.

We had breakfast and roamed around a bit. After that, we went to the room, enjoying the super cozy room while waiting for our complimentary heritage tour. The room is spacious. Basing it on the local places I've been to, I would say that the luxury terrace suite of Fundacion Pacita is better than the room I had when I visited Lagen island in El Nido Palawan. Fundacion Pacita is the best hotel and resort in Batanes as of the moment.

The view from our balcony is the best view that I ever had. You could see the crashing waves from below, and hear the calming sound of the sea as well. You can have an incredible view of the sky as well as the vast unending ocean - this is one of the best views ever and this is where you can fully appreciate the marvelous creation of God!

Luxury Terrace Suite - Junior Master Bedroom

The suite has 2 rooms. One master and one junior room. The master has one huge bed and the junior room has 3 single beds. It's soft mattress and fluffy pillows makes you want to stay in the room the whole day! The suite has 2 bathrooms and their shower area is so cool! Aside from the rain shower, the floor has smooth rocks which gives you a closer-to-nature experience, even when taking a bath! It even has a walk-in closet. It has everything you will ever need, except television, which is just exactly the point why you are there - to commune with nature and be away foam the stresses  of our complicated life.

Unfortunately, I can't stay away disconnected too long that's why I brought my laptop and iPad. Again, unfortunately, it's like the nature telling me to enjoy God's creation because I unintentionally brought my laptop and forgot my laptop cord! My laptop is already old so it holds only around 45 minutes of battery life.

The rooms and living room of Fundacion Pacita makes you feel at home. It has cozy sofas and some art fixture made by Pacita Abad herself. The outer dining area has a majestic view of the mountains and the sea. This is the same view we have from the balcony of our room.

I was expecting to roam around the open fields of Fundacion Pacita. I was expecting it to be like the open fields of the "Marlboro country" or the "Rolling hills" but the surroundings of Fundacion is far from being an open field. I'm writing this so you know what to expect. It was just to steep to be similar to Marlboro country and rolling hills in Batanes, although, there's a pathway leading to the beach.

To tell you honestly, I enjoyed staying at Fundacion Pacita more than the places we went to. It's as if you can stay there the whole day and you'll still enjoy.

Here are some of the photos we took on our first day at Batanes:

Ending the first day, I was excited to take long exposure shots of the sea from our balcony but can you believe that even after a 30" still shot, you will still get s pitch black image! The moon is covered by the clouds, that's why.

Up next, my Batanes Tour Day 2 post. Food and restaurant reviews will be done in a seperate post.
