Bracelets with holograms, magnets/ ions and other energy giving accessories

Finally!!! A statement from Adam Savage regarding the controversial Quantums, ion, energy pendants or whatever power inducing accessories.

A dozen of people already offered me this but of course, being very curious on how things actually work, if they did really work, I was very doubtful about this balance-enhancer bracelet, pendant or necklace.

As a public service, I should tell you: Bracelets with holograms, magnets/ ions etc, that are supposed to "balance" something? Bullshit.

I can't debunk the science of the stupid bracelets, because there IS NO SCIENCE TO THE STUPID BRACELETS.

Some are priced exorbitantly, while some are cheap. I think they want to "cater" to everyone in the market. Personally, I don't and never ever believed this. I do believe in something though.. It's ALL in the mind. This is called the Placebo Effect.

A placebo, as used in research, is an inactive substance or procedure used as a control in an experiment. The placebo effect is the measurable, observable, or felt improvement in health not attributable to an actual treatment. 

When a treatment is based on a known inactive substance like a sugar pill, distilled water, or saline solution rather than having real medical value, a patient may still improve merely because their expectation to do so is so strong. In Australia, they issued an order to refund those who bought a similar product.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has ordered Power Balance Australia to refund all customers who feel they were misled by the supposed benefits of Power Balance bracelets.

I won't post any image or brands (I didn't mention the brand above. I quoted it) here but I think you know what I am talking about. I can't even believe how expensive some of those are. Talking about energy, I remember one of the post-apocalyptic movie called City of Ember.
