Unveiled and Compared: HTC One X HTC One V

HTC will release their latest flagship device tomorrow, April 13, 2012. The HTC One X and HTC One V. Yesterday, it was a privilege to be invited to the pre-launch held at the Jump Experience Center in SM Megamall.

It's a good thing that there is a certain venue like Jump Experience Center, wherein you can actually try the device yourself. It was what I was talking about a few days ago that there are things better experienced in real life rather than just by reading and viewing videos of it. Not only did we get to use the new HTC phones, the guys at the Jump center were doing a demo of the cool features of it.

HTC One X
Running on Android's latest software, OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the HTC One X uses a Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset and has a quad core 1.5 Ghz CPU. A supposedly fifth core also exists to be used for saving battery.

Other than those, the HTC One X has an 8-megapixel camera with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. This phone can also takes photos while you are recording a video, at the same time! Same thing when you are watching a video, you can take photos. Talk about stalker mode activated! If you are fan of action shots, you can try out the 20 shot burst mode or the 99 shot burst mode. Each will take 25 seconds and 1 minute, respectively.

Doing the burst shot takes a lot of memory but this phone can handle it! It has an internal storage capacity of 32GB (Not expandable) with 1GB of RAM. The durable polycarbonate housing is also something else. The HTC guy did a live demo to us and dropped the unit he was using, down to the concrete floor!

HTC One V
Slightly similar in Specs, the HTC One V is the entry level model of the HTC One. It has a smaller internal storage capacity (4GB) with 512MB of RAM. The 5-megapixel camera can also do burst shots. This one has no front facing camera though.

Both is HSDPA capable, quad band, has WiFi, GPS and FM Radio.

Comparing HTC One X vs HTC One V side-by-side comparison

Price and plans to follow. This phone is exclusively sold by Smart in the Philippines. Watch out as Smart brings in more phones and gadgets first, here in the Philippines.
