Divoom Bluetune and I-Tour Rock Review

Bluetooth technology has existed for some time now. Even before it became famous, I use the username "Bluetooth" in classifieds and forum sites. I'm that happy that the technology was invented. Innovation got Bluetooth technology places and now, even speakers are equipped with it.

Here's one of them. A speaker equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology. Looking at it, the top portion somewhat reminds me of a sports car-like design. The pointy-thing reminds me of the Pontiac logo. To connect it a little bit, Pontiac was the performance division of General Motors back then. Well, the resemblance didn't disappoint as this speaker delivers a superb performance.
No, it can't stand like that.
As small as it looks, it packs a total RMS power of 4 Watts with a driver size of 50mm micro speaker with 4Ohm. That's even louder than your regular USB-powered computer speakers! And since this boasts wireless connectivity, you can hold your speaker away from the bluetooth device it is connected to, up to 33 feet (open space). 33 feet is equivalent to a 3 story building.

Power button, pairing button and volume control. Don't worry as it comes with a manual that has correct grammar (Good quality control) and easy to understand instructions. Another pet peeve of mine is pairing bluetooth devices. Pairing this device is easy as 1-2-3. Just check out the manual. Charging time is short and one full charge can give you long, wireless comfortable, playing hours.

If being organized is your thing, you'll be extremely happy to know that:
1) Your cables won't be lost anymore as it is attached at the bottom
2) Your cables are not in anyway bothersome. In fact, if you just look at it without turning it upside down, you wouldn't even know there are cables underneath it.
3) Not a finger print magnet

For those with old devices, the Divoom Bluetune 1 is backwards compatible! I even used it to listen to my Internet radio station via my old iPhone 3g. Look at the size -- very handy!

By the way, it has a 3.5mm input/output capability. You can use take advantage of that and connect this speaker to another speaker with 3.5mm jack! My father-in-law bought one and when he's at home, he uses this speaker as a bluetooth receiver! He connects his iPhone to the bluetune and the bluetune is connected to his Bose sound system. Very clever!

Comes in red, white, black or brown, this device is selling for P2,250. Get it here.

BUT, if you are okay in the non-wireless kind of superb sounding portable speakers, then give your ears a treat! The Divoom I-Tour Rock is as awesome -- just made without bluetooth technology but more plus for the ooomph  power(bass). Don't belittle this guy because I enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto and watching movies with it! Because of the PO-bass technology, it will surely amaze you on how such a small speaker can create a deep and powerful bass!

And similar to the Divoom Bluetune, the wire underneath is neatly organized. Rubberized texture make it somewhat a dust magnet but because it is smooth, one swipe of your finger and their out.

Unlike other portable speakers, this one has a unique design that embodies the speaker's characteristics. It emits a blue led light when switched on. This thing is also sturdy. I tried forcing the grills down to see if the material is cheap. it didn't budge even a bit!

I call this my little bass. You can also inter-connect this with other speakers! It can produce up to 3.8 watts. Driver size is 400mm micro speaker with 4Ohm. One charge is good to give you around 7 hours of continuous play.

The cost? Only P1,100! Better check them out in your local gadget stores here in Manila like A Shop, Rustans, Astrovision, SM Appliance center.

Divoom is also available online: Multiply

My next review will be the iFit series and I am giving away one of it! :)
