Iron Man 3 Special Screening from Solaire

Just got home from the screening of Iron Man 3. Sorry to disappoint you but this is not another Iron Man movie review. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the things that I usually notice when I watch Iron Man.

1) Audi
When I was younger and when Audi was still not very much of a head turner, I already liked Audi. It has this overflowing charisma not radiating from other premium brands. After they released their signature DRLs, it made me fall in love with Audi more. In Iron Man 3, several Audi vehicles were seen. Audi S7 Sportback, Audi A8, A6, S5 Coupe and Q5 models.

A little history about Audi's logo
Before World War II, Auto Union used the four interlinked rings that make up the Audi badge today, representing these four brands: Audi, Horch, DKW, and Wanderer, to form Auto Union.

2) His Home
Well, we got his address. "10880 Malibu Point" he says. Before you search for it or type it into your GPS, don't waste your energy. It's not real. His house is created by visual effects only and is supposed to show that it is built atop Point Dume State Beach in Malibu, CA.

Whenever I see his home, it reminds me of Star Trek.

3) His Ego
Let's face it. Iron Man isn't Iron Man without his ego. The way he acts isn't really a good role model but the way it is portrayed in the movie makes it look cool. Admit it, even from the start of the movie, we all know he is not going to lose as this IS his movie. (Spoiler alert, skip to next paragraph if you don't want spoilers) Remember the part where all his armors came flying to the rescue? I was thinking to myself. If he would've done that, why didn't he do it earlier? But then, the movie would be shorter. He was like part-macgyver as I watched some scenes in Iron Man 3 and he rewarded the kid generously so, at least his bite is as intense as his bark.

Was just disappointed at the end-credit scene. Overall, had fun watching Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 roxxx!

Thanks for the invite Solaire! (And to their sponsors, Monde and Lucky Me)

I recall there was a scene that showed workers excavating the base of Tony Stark's home after most of it collapsed to the sea. Underneath this base are the ironman armors. After this scene, I assume Jarvis somewhat confirmed that the armory is now clear and this more or less triggered Tony's onslaught. So the earlier scenes, Tony was not summoning the ironmen because they were still somehow trapped in the wreckage. Although one can argue that the suits are capable of clearing the rubble by themselves.
