Toyota Altis 2014 (Photos and Crash Test Video)

Even prior to the launch here in the Philippines, I've been very excited for the launch of the new Altis and at the same time, hoping that we get the European version and not the American version. Well, prayers answered! A few days ago, Toyota Motor Philippines officially launched the new Altis 2014.

Unlike other launches, this one got a lot of people excited. The hashtag #HeartPounding was a well-fitted description for the killer looks the 2014 Altis has. The only Altis I liked was the previous version and I couldn't be happier on how this new one looks. According to Toyota, this newly launched 11th generation Corolla Altis is in fact just 70% new because they will still be using the same platform and engine as the previous generation Altis. So if you want to know the fuel efficiency of the new Altis 2014, go ahead and ask previous generation owners. You can more or less expect the same numbers, I'm guessing.

Check out some photos I gathered from the net (meaning, not from me) and if we share the same sentiments of liking how the new 2014 Altis looks, feast your eyes on these Toyota Altis 2014 photos:

Toyota Altis 2014 (Asian Version) Crash Test
If you are really decided to get one, why don't you check out these crash test video from Euro NCAP. These tests are required in other countries and the unit used is somewhat similar to what we have here. I doubt though that even the 2.0 V version in the Philippines has side curtain airbags. I've only seen those in high-end luxury cars.

I just went there earlier, I received a 2nd notice from them. I think it was the UMID card I applied in SSS Cubao. Instead of sending the package at the nearer office at Alimall, they sent it instead to the QC branch at NIA Road. Upon entering their Admin Office, you can already feel that this office has no sense of customer service. Some employee have no shirt on, water pail on the middle of the room, incorrect direction to various offices. It seems no one has a clue about my package. Employees were pointing fingers at each other in front of me, their customer. I took the CP number of one of the employee so I could contact her first before going there. Frankly, I have little hope that I will still get that package.
