Which one do I get?
If you enjoy watching movies or doing work on a bigger screen, the obvious choice would be the iPad Air 2. For most, portability is a big issue and thus, the iPad Mini 3 would be the perfect choice. In Apple's pricing, the price difference between the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Mini 2 is around $100. If you're willing to eliminate Touch ID, iPad Mini 2 is the better option for you but, for both tablets, having the 128 GB is a huge advantage. People say that you can't use up that much. Well, I can. My first generation iPad is still with me now and I got the 64 GB version (the highest possible in iPad 1). I'm still enjoying it to this day. That's the problem with Apple tablets. They seem to live like forever.
And because of that, if I were to choose, it's a no-brainer that I would go for the iPad Mini 3 64 or 128 GB. In the end, it really depends on what your requirements are.
Whether you want the new iPad or the new iPad Mini, be sure to check out the subsidized offers first rather than buying the unit only. I'm sure you'll find a good deal, depending on your needs once the plan matrix is out.
