Here are the top differences between the S7 / S7 Edge vs the S6 / S6 Edge:
1) Camera - With the S7 having 12MP and the S6 having 16MP. It doesn't mean that the image quality will be lesser than the S6 because S7 has now dual-pixel technology. In other words, there are now two light sensor photodiodes putting in more information creating a image quality similar to a 24MP camera. With that is an aperture upgrade from F1.9 to F1.7

2) Battery Life
A lot will be happy with this. The S7 now has 3,000 mAh (S6 has 2,550mAh) while the S7 Edge now has 3,600mAh (S6 Edge has 3,000mAh). Both still has quick charging capabilities using the right cable and plug. Both still capable of charging wirelessly.

3) Display
S6, S7, and S6 Edge has 5.1 inch screen while the S7 Edge now has a bigger screen at 5.5 inch. All has QHD Super AMOLED display.

4) Waterproof, baby!
Yes, the new S7 and S7 Edge is now IP68 certified. This means that you can submerge them in 1.5 meter of water for 30 minutes.

5) Expandable Storage
While the S6 and the S6 Edge has either 32/64/128GB of storage choices, the new S7 and S7 Edge only has 32/64GB. This is because the newer ones can accommodate 200GB of expandable storage! Take note that this memory card slot doubles as a SIM tray for dual SIM functionality. You've got to choose only one of those and we think that it's still better having a choice than none at all.

So, do you want to upgrade? Well, from S6 / S6 Edge to S7 / S7 Edge, the differences are already impressive enough for most people to want to upgrade. For those using S5 and below, it's the perfect time to upgrade! Choosing between the S7 or S7 Edge might be the harder choice because they are almost the same with only a few differences. (Read this) Apple has to do better this year because as an Apple user, I am really tempted to switch to Samsung, particularly the Edge model.

Philippine price for the S7/ S7 Edge are as follows:
32GB Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy S7 is Php 34,990
32GB Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is Php 39,990

No word yet on the 64GB variants. Colors available are white, black, gold, and silver.
