Why did Smart's MVP meet with Facebook's Zuckerberg?

Not the first time the two giant companies met, Smart's CEO Manny V Pangilinan aka MVP met with Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook at their headquarters in Menlo Park, California. So, what's up?

Through a strategic partnership, Smart was the first telco in the entire Southeast Asia to roll out free basics. The aim is to make mobile internet available to 2/3s of the world who are not yet connected. By doing this, they are uplifting their lives by providing them access to online sources without data charges. Now, over 30 countries are offering this service. Last March 2015, millions of users on the Smart network have enjoyed FREE basics like educational sites, job opening sites, news, weather, etc. without additional cost. This made the internet accessible to basically everyone under the Smart network in the Philippines.

Now, Smart is offering FREE Facebook and FREE Instagram following the concept of free basics which resulted to a surge in the number of online users who are now empowered by the network's free offerings.

The meeting of the minds included Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg, PLDT-Smart Chair and CEO MVP, wireless consumer operations head Katrina Luna-Abelarde, PLDT Home Operations Head Oscar Reyes Jr, EVP and consumer business head at PLDT and Smart Ariel Fermin.

I'm sure that they talked about more things that are yet to be unveiled. Such huge meeting with top executives will surely result to something that will benefit a lot of us in the years to come. Any speculations as to what other things they have discussed?
