Grandparent's Day at Araneta Center

This Sunday, Araneta Center will make Lolo and Lola’s Day more memorable as they have prepared activities to honor our grandparents. A photo exhibit - “Making Memories” will be shown so everyone will be able to appreciate photos of life’s precious moments. In addition, special performance by balladeer Chad Borja and Binibining Pilipinas queens will be gracing the opening of this photo exhibit.

Exciting freebies await our Lolos and Lolas this grandparents day weekend (September 6-8, 2013) when they visit the exhibit and dine here at Araneta Center. They can get a Minute Maid drink or a limited edition Coke Tin Tray when they present a minimum single receipt purchase from any Gateway Food Express, Ali Mall Food Gallery Farmers Food Plaza, and Dampa sa Farmers Market.

For Lolos and Lolas who present their Senior Citizen card at the exhibit area on September 8, free gift packs containing Sudoku and Crossword puzzle booklets will also be given to them from the Araneta Center.

Coke Happiness Truck -- Spread Laughter and Happiness Everyday!

Yesterday, I saw a status posted by a friend and it made me laugh. I reposted it and a lot of people did too.

Today, my brother saw a video and it caught my attention. This was something cool done by Coca Cola here in the Philippines. A truck will go around with a button at the rear of it. For every push, a random gift item will appear in the vendo like hole at the rear of the truck.

Save Energy by Using Bottles as Lighting

As a Coca-Cola Live Positively ambassador, I want to share with you an idea I saw when I was browsing the internet and I think, is very ingenious and can save electricity usage and cost. It is only applicable though to some types of houses only.

The technology is very simple. It utilizes bottles and inserted into a purposely made hole in the roof. The bottle contains water and bleach. Inserting the bottle into the hole, it can now refract sunlight into the home beneath it. It's equivalent to 55 to 60 watts of lighting without costing the users additional electricity costs for around 8 hours a day. (As long as there is sunlight)
