I've been away for a long time to take a break from the hustle and bustle but I am back! I've been on vacation recently and we've taken a cruise around Asia. This is not the first cruise we've taken because over the 10 months, we've taken 3 cruises and that is a testament to it. Believe me, it can be addicting. As with any other activities, it is not for everyone as well.

I'm here to share with you the the joy of cruising and some basics as to what to expect when taking your first cruise. I'm so happy when people ask me, whether friends or family or blog readers about cruising. I love sharing it to them even though sometimes, I already act as their company representative. The Real Ha Long Bay Unveiled Onboard Bhaya Cruise

A UNESCO world heritage site Ha Long Bay is one of the must-go places when visiting Vietnam. This nature's wonder is just around 165km from Ha Noi, Northeast of Vietnam. Ha Long literally means "descending dragon".

According to legend, the Vietnamese people had just started to develop their country and to help fight off invaders, the gods sent a family of dragons to protect them. The dragons were spitting out jewels and jades and they turned into island and islets scattered around the bay serving as walls against the invaders. On another end, numerous rock mountains appeared on the sea ahead of the invaders' ships and they got struck by the rocks. After the battle, the dragons decided to peacefuly stay in this bay and the mother dragon descended here, thus the name, Ha(descending) Long(dragon).

As per research, in 1898, a sub-lieutenant named Lagredin and his many crews reported spotting a huge sea snake on Ha Long Bay. Enough of history and legends. Off to the real Ha Long Bay!

One of the most recommended tourist stuff to do in Kota Kinabalu is the Proboscis Monkey and firefly tour. If you do a search for the Proboscis monkey, you'll find it very weird looking. They are also called long-nosed monkeys. Also known as "bekantan" in Malay, they are reddish-brown arboreal Old World monkey that is endemic to the south-east Asian island of Borneo.

The monkey also goes by the Malay name monyet belanda ("Dutch monkey"), or even orang belanda ("Dutchman"), as Indonesians remarked that the Dutch colonisers often had a similarly large belly and nose.

London Bridge / London Arch - Great Ocean Road Australia Attractions

Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia is home to some of the most amazing natural landscapes. It's a place where you can experience God's creation. London Arch or London Bridge as some call it, is one of the many tourist attractions along the Great Ocean Road. This is also part of the Port Campbell National Park.

I'm sure you're familiar with the song/ nursery rhyme London Bridge is falling down.

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady.

Well, the London Bridge didn't actually fall but this London Bridge in Port Campbell (Great Ocean Road), Victoria Australia did fall! The whole coast is eroding about 2cm/year.

The arch was known as London Bridge because of its similarity to its namesake.
