Marikina cops judged Metro Manila’s best for 2007

Ok, this might sound like a campaign blog for the presidential elections in 2010 for Bayani Fernando, but this isn't one. It's just that, he does lot of things and achieves lots of things.

Although Marikina is not handled by Bayani Fernando, it is handled by his wife, Marides. They both are known to be implementors.

The Marikina City police was adjudged the Best Police Station of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) for the year 2007.

Metro Manila police chief Director Geary Barias will hand over the award to Marikina City police chief Superintendent Sotero Ramos Jr. during the NCRPO’s 17th anniversary celebration at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City Monday.

Barias said the Marikina City police, a pilot site of the Philippine National Police (PNP) model police station, bested the Caloocan City police.

However, he did not cite figures and the criteria for the selection process implemented by Senior Superintendent Felicisimo Khu Jr., NCRPO’s chief of regional directorial staff and chairman of the awards committee.

Ramos said he and the officers and men of the Marikina City police dedicate the award to Mayor Maria Lourdes Fernando and the Marikeños "for their untiring support to the local police."
