Who said that you need superpowers to become a hero like Superman, Batman or Iron man?
Nestor Sulpico, interviewed four years ago said that he his feat fulfilled his dreams of becoming a superhero by returning $75,000 worth of black pearls left by a passenger on the taxi he was driving in New York City.
He was greatly greatly rewarded by New York's Mayor by giving him a cab with a franchise and the businessman gave him scholarship to study nursing at Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing.
The honest taxi driver which was also awarded a commendation by Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and was given an "integrity award" and a symbolic key to the city by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
"I believe that honesty is the most important virtue which serves as a foundation of all other virtues." said Sulpico.
He was laid to rest last saturday. He was sick that only his 88 year old mother knew.
A person which deserves to be recognized as a modern day hero even in the blogosphere. Good Job in earth and may you rest peacefully.
