7 ways to instantly de-stress

Due to the fast-paced life that we now have, people nowadays easily get tired. Whether it’s a public or a private firm, in the family business or not, everyone should regenerate every once in a while

I understand the sentiments of most people, especially those have worked for a BPO firm, where they need to change their entire schedule – from day to night shift – just for work. Relaxation is one of the components of healthy living. No matter how stressed you are at work, it is necessary that from time to time, you sit back and relax. De-stressing doesn’t mean that you have to go to Tagaytay or head to the farthest beach (as driving could add more stress). There are a lot of activities you could actually do around the metro.

Head to a salon or spa
Whether you’re alone or with friends, going to salons to have your new hairstyle and nails done makes you feel new and refreshed. Spa’s massage treatments would surely pamper and make you feel regenerated.

Watch a comedy movie
This will make your stomach work-out for all the laughs you did. Try watching Rowan Atkinson comedy movies and this would definitely make your day.

Do some shopping
This used to be true for ladies way back – but I think I’ve seen a lot of people (including my dad) who turns out to be shopaholics too! Try to buy yourself something once in a month perhaps? It’s like giving yourself a treat for all the hard work you did the past month – let’s admit it, spending for your wants is one of the reasons that we’re working really hard. Just don’t overdo your shopping because it’ll surely double your stress!

Go to Timezone or Powerstation
I have to admit that whenever I enter these arenas, I feel like a child again. Playing games with your best buddies or your younger siblings will remove those stress cells inside of you.

Do outdoor activities
Go trekking, rock climbing or karting with your family. I’m sure you’re dead tired by the end of the day but the one of a kind experience with your loved ones would all be worth it.

Indoor Wellness
When you’re not into extreme sports, try yoga as it relaxes not only your mind but also your body. I’m sure that by the end of a few sessions, you’ll be good in stretching and your back pains have minimized.

Enjoying Life
Stress is always present in a person’s life. Sooner or later, all of us will definitely experience it. When this occurs in your life, always remember to breathe and relax. Always pray and ask for God’s guidance on how to face difficulties in life. Surely, this stress will come to pass.
