Red Cross Million Volunteer Run 2 Details (Comment for free running kits!)
Volunteerism has been an important trait that has grown all over the world as frequency of disasters continues to increase over the last few years. The funds from the run will be raised for the Red Cross 143 Volunteer Training Program on disaster management to be able to equip our various Filipino communities with life-saving tools and training volunteers on disaster-response skills.
With this 2nd Million Volunteer Run, we want to show everyone that Philippines has a big spirit of volunteerism by being deeply dedicated to the fundamental principle of Red Cross which is Mobilizing humanitarian action as a means of saving lives.
The February 10 run will be open to all ages and will have a 3-K and 5-K course run. Registration fee is 200 for each runner and students will have a discounted rate of 100. Each registered runner will be given an official Million Volunteer Run whistle. Everyone who is participating should wear RED shirt. Waiver forms must be signed to qualify for registration and participants that are 17 years and below will need to secure a signed parental consent.
For Metro Manila runners, the starting point for 3K will be at CCP (front of Aliw Theatre) and 5K will be at Global Gutz (near World Trade Center) both ending at Quirino Grandstand. The start time will have a 30-minute gap, 5:30am for 3K and 6am for 5K, but assembly time for both is at 5am.
