Sun Cellular x Opera Mini Browsing at P15 / Day

Out of all the mobile internet users in the Philippines, only 15% are using smart phones. By definition, a smart phone is a mobile phone built on a mobile operating system like Android and iOS (Apple). This means that majority of the people still uses feature phones (phones like the Nokia N70, Nokia X2 and the likes).

Given that, Sun Cellular tied up with Opera Mini browser to come up with a new package called "Browse On" so they can accommodate majority of the non-smart phone users here in the Philippines.

One of Nokia's feature phones
Here are the "Browse On" buckets:
*For 1 day unlimited browsing with Opera Mini Browser, text "Opera15" and send to 247 (Php15)
*For 7 days unlimited browsing with Opera Mini Browser, text "Opera80" and send to 247 (Php80)
*For 15 days unlimited browsing with Opera Mini Browser, text "Opera160" and send to 247 (Php160)
*For 30 days unlimited browsing with Opera Mini Browser, text "Opera299" and send to 247 (Php299)

So basically, for Php 15, you get to surf the internet for one whole day using the Opera Mini browser. Currently, this browser is compatible with over 3,000 feature phones. Given these phones have less features and less processing power, it is suggested that they use Opera Mini browser as it is content-efficient which enables the user to experience 6 times faster browsing compared to other internet browsers and uses up to 90% less MB usage.

Things you need to know with this package:
*Opera Mini download link will be sent to you once you subscribe to any of the packages.
*Opera Mini will be free to download provided you used the link in the message.
*Maximum of 15mb upload and download (combined) per day.
*If you get the browse on bucket longer than 1 day, you get "capped" off daily.
*If you consume your allocated 15mb per day, you will be charged the normal rate.
*You cannot subscribe to another browse on package even if you have used up your existing 15mb allocated usage.
*Sites like Youtube and other similar video streaming sites won't work with this package. You will be charged separately using the regular rate of Php5 per 15minutes (You will be warned)
*As per Sun Cellular, you will be warned once you are going out of the browse on package range.
