Beijing Olympic rants

Most of us weren't lucky enough to be there at the historic Beijing 2008 Olympics. But, are we really unlucky not to be there?

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/5154/img1005yc9.jpg

What we see in televisions and other news publications are mostly good news except for the so-called fake fireworks and the lip-synching kid.

What I will write here is a first hand experience of someone who went there and experienced it all. We know that China is the next superpower and China is known for it's communist ways but, look at how China improved.

Here are some of the complaints from a Beijing Olympic visitor:
-It was way too hot inside the Bird's nest stadium, particularly the upper part of it. There were no air conditioning systems and since hot air goes up, guess what? the exhales and steams of 91,000 people circulates the stadium.

-At the opening day, you have to be there on or before 4pm! You have to wait 4 hours or more for the start of the Olympics unless, you are a VIP.

-You cannot bring in food so, you can't actually eat until the opening finishes unless you want to go out earlier. It's so hard to find people who sells snacks inside.

-The ticket were way to expensive for a mediocre view but the cheapest tickets or those way up got a nice, literally hot, view.

I wonder what will happen if the 2016 Olympics will be held in the Philippines...

Other countries are just envious...

Bangsamoro Juridical Entity (BJE)
I am writing about the olympics rather than the BJE contract signing in Mindanao because I think that Arroyo is intelligent enough not to sign that deal. I was watching the news last night and I do not agree with what most of the muslims in Quiapo said. They said that after signing, peace will be restored. Read the following and tell me if this is what they think peace is:

1. Villagers flee as fighting intensifies
2. Booby traps prevent Philippine villagers from going home

Signing that contract won't bring peace in that place. Eliminating MILF or other extremist groups will help bring back peace- FAST.

Who ever said that Mindanao was theirs? Thats BS man. Mindanao is part of the Philippines. They can live there, yes, but requesting it to be apart from the Philippines? Absolutely not! (I am confident that our current president can think of the consequences well.)

Going back to Beijing...
Ever since the Beijing Olympics started, other envious countries were like wild tigers waiting to pounce on their prey, China, to put them down but so far, none of the attempts were successful.

Fake fireworks?
Yes, they said that only the last "foot print" was filmed live. My question is, are there ANY rules regarding the fireworks display on an Olympics opening?

So for other countries who's making this a big deal, when it's really not, STOP BEING A CRY BABY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Singing kid - lip-synching?
As Lin Miaoke sang sweetly through Ode to the Motherland in the Bird’s Nest stadium on Friday night, an emerging superpower swelled with pride at their beautiful little songbird in her red dress and cute pigtails.

But as she was fêted across China yesterday for a charming performance that made her a star, the Beijing schoolgirl was exposed as a fake.

Far from being angel-voiced, it seems Miaoke was simply angel-faced, as it emerged that she did not sing a note.

The real singer was Yang Peiyi, a seven-year-old deemed not pretty enough to be the face of China’s most watched moment in history.

China admitted to this.

Again, I do not see any rules regarding this but for me, this is a bit tad wrong. In my opinion, the kid below is also cute but not as cute as the one above. The REAL singing kid should get the limelight at the closing of the Olympics just to make up for her non-appearance at the opening.

and for the lip-synching cute kid? Your days are over. Hope you enjoyed your limelight while it lasted.

Again, other superpower countries need not be afraid of China being the superpower. Be very afraid because your limelight too, is over.

China - The new SUPER power

China new super power country
I am sure that you are one of the few billion people who watched the opening of the 2008 Beijing olympics on television, or live (If you are the few lucky thousand).

To state a fact, the opening of Beijing '08 Olympics drew record breaking viewers surpassing Super bowl and American Idol finals.

I've never watched any Olympic opening because it was just another boring sporting event for me. This time, I watched it not because I have Chinese blood, but because of all the marketing efforts they made to let every persons anticipation level soar. I don't even plan to watch the 2012 London Olympics - Unless I go there LIVE.

Way back Year 2002, I went to Beijing joining a tour. To my surprise, I had already seen and then bought 2008 Beijing Olympics merchandise -The 2004 Olympics hasn't even started! When I went back to China last 2006, it was already flooded with Beijing Olympics merchandise.

Another fact to make a strong statement about my topic "China - The new superpower". Someone told me that in the Bible (Basic instructions before leaving Earth), it was even indicated that China will be the last super power.

I personally believe this because everything inside the Bible is true and most of what's written has happened already. *Makes my hair raise, because China is already happening.
