DIY with Style with The Best Impressions Products

For those of you who love doing things with a personal touch, you may want to check out The Best Impressions. I learned of it last year as I saw one of my friends purchased their stamper set. As Christmas was fast approaching, I decided to order a few sets to be given away and for my personal use. Their famous products includes the Three Designing Women Stamper and the Desk Embosser.

You could choose from a lot of designs and what's cool about their products is the fact that you could buy one stamper set and use a whole lot of designs as their stamps are changeable. Also, the inks in the stampers could also be changed to different colors - Perfect for those who love to do DIY wrappers and cards.

Another product that they have and I wish this was available back when I was getting married is their personalized embosser. Priced at Php 3,500.00 per set (includes one embossed design), you can make any plain stationary/envelop/paper elegant and personal. I bought one because I wanted my son's invitation envelops to have his initials - this is actually perfect for wedding invitations had I known this product 3 years ago! There are actually a lot more uses of these embossers so it was good I was able to invest in one.

Save Energy by Using Bottles as Lighting

As a Coca-Cola Live Positively ambassador, I want to share with you an idea I saw when I was browsing the internet and I think, is very ingenious and can save electricity usage and cost. It is only applicable though to some types of houses only.

The technology is very simple. It utilizes bottles and inserted into a purposely made hole in the roof. The bottle contains water and bleach. Inserting the bottle into the hole, it can now refract sunlight into the home beneath it. It's equivalent to 55 to 60 watts of lighting without costing the users additional electricity costs for around 8 hours a day. (As long as there is sunlight)

DIY Drybox for SLR/ DSLR/ Gadgets

Tonight, I am going to make my very own drybox! (or buy it one part at a time!)

If you have your own digital SLR and some lenses, you would think of ways to protect your investment.

Where will you put your gadgets then?

Since I have no budget for those drybox with dehumidifiers, I opted to make my own drybox!

1) I bought a HPL500 locknlock airtight container for 549.75 pesos (roughly 11.31 US dollars)

2) I am going to buy Silica Gel later.

Silica gel can adsorb about 40 percent of its weight in moisture and can take the relative humidity in a closed container down to about 40 percent. Once saturated, you can drive the moisture off and reuse silica gel by heating it above 300 degrees F (150 C).

Voila!!! My own drybox with wheels! :p
