Discovery Shores Boracay: Best Luxury Resort in Boracay Experience (Part 4: Going around the property, amenities, and the ultimate boodle fight dinner)

From the amazing treatments at the Terra Wellness Spa, to the gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Sands PLUS a dinner for two by the beach at Indigo, to a wonderful relaxing pool and jacuzzi, so far, they have it all here at Discovery Shores Boracay. Not only do they have it but, they have it and serve it in style. Truly a luxury resort in Boracay that one needs if you want to escape and get some R&R. On our second day, we were curious as to how the other rooms looked like. Luckily, they have some suites that are available that day for us to see! Check out some photos and videos of the suites that we were able to visit. Take note though that for higher suites like the two-bedroom suite premiere, reservations can be hard as it is often booked, specially during the holidays. Read on and check out the other suite categories, amenities, and a Filipino-inspired dinner that is only available here in the entire island of Boracay!

3 Reasons Why You Must Go to Oktobefest 2014 in Manila

Every year I attend the Oktoberfest press conference, they never fail to let everyone feel the real thing whether it was held on the garden pavilion or inside the ballroom. It always captured the ambiance full of festivities -- Bavarian music, games, dancing, food and of course, beer! It surely is a beer drinkers event but non-beer drinkers can also celebrate with them! I drank iced tea this year. Why not? Beer may be the main reason but here are other reasons why you must attend the annual Oktoberfest in Manila.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

My love for ramen started when my friend had me try out Marutama ramen in Singapore. I can happily say that my ramen cravings are somewhat fulfulled even without going abroad as ramenya shops have sprouted all over the metro!

As we had idle time one Sunday afternoon prior to attending a wedding reception at Makati Shangri-la Hotel, we decided to drop by Santouka. We've heard people rave about the ramen here but we hated the line so we thought that by going there early before dinner, we won't have to line up that long.

Manila Hotel - Christmas Edition

Stayed overnight in Manila Hotel a couple of weeks back. It was far from the old Manila hotel. It's been some time now ever since they renovated that place but this is the first time I was able to stay there because I didn't think they can improve much based on the old looks. Well, it looks like they did improve a lot.

Here's the view from our room. We can see part of Fort Santiago and some greens. Above is a less-smoggy city since it's a Sunday afternoon. I'm pretty sure the skies would be different. Brownishly different.

Sumosam Gilmore - Greenhills Town Center

Sumosam's Bento Box
It's not an unfamiliar restaurant. I've been in their other branches many times and I'm sure a lot have heard of it already. Sumosam is a Japanese restaurant owned by Marvin Agustin, Ricardo Laudico and Raymund Magdaluyo. It has been around for quite a number of years now. In fact, they already have 10 branches around the Philippines. Their newest branch is located in Greenhills Town Center, right along Granada st and a couple of blocks away from the famous Gilmore computer center.
