A Primer on Cruising: Cruising 101 (Part 1)

I've been away for a long time to take a break from the hustle and bustle but I am back! I've been on vacation recently and we've taken a cruise around Asia. This is not the first cruise we've taken because over the 10 months, we've taken 3 cruises and that is a testament to it. Believe me, it can be addicting. As with any other activities, it is not for everyone as well.

I'm here to share with you the the joy of cruising and some basics as to what to expect when taking your first cruise. I'm so happy when people ask me, whether friends or family or blog readers about cruising. I love sharing it to them even though sometimes, I already act as their company representative. I have friends and family who had booked their own cruises after seeing my posts in my Facebook page.

Balesin Island Club: Balesin Clubhouse

As this clubhouse is named after the island, you can conclude that this is probably be the biggest and best clubhouse in Balesin Island. Located just a few meters away from the runway, this serves as the check-in and check-out venue of all guests staying in the island. The entire village being Filipino-themed, the clubhouse itself looked more of a giant nipa hut housing modern amenities that people from all age-groups would enjoy. Even though there are only selected sections in the clubhouse that has air-conditioning system, wind circulation has been great because of the design of the clubhouse. Ceiling fans are also installed in areas that may get warmer during summer days. In addition, this clubhouse also has the best swimming pool in the island with the infinity pool concept. Because of the lovely scenery and calm waters from the pool and the sea, there are actually a lot of people who relax by the pool area and read books while enjoying a glass of fresh fruit juice.

Below are some photos of the Balesin Clubhouse:

Tayo'y Mga Pinoy - Full Music Video

(L-R) Head of Smart brand equity Management Carlo Endaya; Smart Bro brand manager Anne Endaya; Smart senior manager for technology services Jay Bacoy; Rico Blanco; Raimund Marasigan; Barbie Almalbis; Ely Buendia
Yesterday marks the 27th anniversary of the EDSA Revolution. Coincidentally, it was also Smart Bro's launching of a nationalistic music video.

The song "Tayo'y Mga Pinoy" was originally composed by Heber Bartolome in 1978. Born on Nov 4 1948, he is a Fiipino folk and folk rock singer, songwriter, composer, poet, guitarist, bandurria player, bluesman and painter. Other songs he was famous for was "Pasahero", "Almusal", and "Karaniwang Tao" among others. Mr. Heber Bartolome was present that night.
